| HOUSE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the House of Representatives of the |
| 3 |
| State of Illinois wish to honor Dennis Stonewall upon his |
| 4 |
| resignation from the position of CEO of the Round Lake Area |
| 5 |
| Schools on June 30, 2007; and
|
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, He was appointed to the CEO position in 2003; in |
| 7 |
| only a few years, he eliminated a deficit of approximately $15 |
| 8 |
| million, upgraded facilities, initiated new programs, and |
| 9 |
| improved community relations to better serve the students, |
| 10 |
| parents, staff, and investors; two years ago, he was recognized |
| 11 |
| as one of ten unique people who make Lake County a better place |
| 12 |
| to live; and
|
| 13 |
| WHEREAS, He came to his current position with an extensive |
| 14 |
| background in financial leadership; he previously served as |
| 15 |
| Chief Business Official for Community Consolidated School |
| 16 |
| District 118 in Danville, where his leadership turned a $9 |
| 17 |
| million deficit into a $25 million surplus; he was President |
| 18 |
| and CEO of several small businesses from 1978 through 1987; he |
| 19 |
| was engaged in family restaurant operations from 1974 to 1979 |
| 20 |
| and had management positions in the food industry from 1969 to |
| 21 |
| 1974; and
|
| 22 |
| WHEREAS, He has also served as President of the Round Lake |
| 23 |
| Area Exchange Club and Committee Fund Raising Chair for Lake |
| 24 |
| County Heritage Farm; and
|
| 25 |
| WHEREAS, Dennis Stonewall will leave his position after |
| 26 |
| rectifying a financial situation that threatened to shutter the |
| 27 |
| school district; therefore, be it
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |

| NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |

| we congratulate Dennis Stonewall on the job he has done as CEO |
