| HOUSE RESOLUTION
|
| 2 |
| WHEREAS, John J. Case has served as Chairman of Pace, the |
| 3 |
| Suburban Bus Division of the Regional Transportation Authority |
| 4 |
| and the nation's 6th largest public bus system, since December, |
| 5 |
| 1998; and
|
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, John J. Case will preside over his last meeting of |
| 7 |
| the Pace Board of Directors on December 6, 2006; and
|
| 8 |
| WHEREAS, John J. Case has presided over many successful |
| 9 |
| ventures at Pace, including the implementation of Pace's Vision |
| 10 |
| 2020 Plan, the takeover of operations of ADA paratransit in |
| 11 |
| Chicago, the installation of Pace's Intelligent Bus System on |
| 12 |
| all buses, the doubling of the size of Pace's Vanpool program, |
| 13 |
| the acquisition of several earmarks from our members of |
| 14 |
| Congress, and the use of environmentally friendly biodiesel |
| 15 |
| fuel in Pace buses; and
|
| 16 |
| WHEREAS, He previously served 12 years on the DuPage County |
| 17 |
| Board, including 2 years as its Chairman; and
|
| 18 |
| WHEREAS, He also served 37 years on Board of Lisle |
| 19 |
| Township, including 15 years as its Township Supervisor; and
|
| 20 |
| WHEREAS, John J. Case has served the community in a variety |
| 21 |
| of other ways, including chairmanships at Benet Academy and |
| 22 |
| North Central College, and 20 years in the United States Air |
| 23 |
| Force, retiring as a Major; therefore, be it
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 25 |
| NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
| 26 |
| we commend John Case for his many years of service to his |
| 27 |
| community and wish him all the best in his future endeavors; |
| 28 |
