| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
| 3 |
| Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Dorothy |
| 4 |
| J. Harbour; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Dorothy Harbour was born on April 27, 1939, in |
| 6 |
| Robinsonville, Mississippi; her parents were Willie and |
| 7 |
| Lucille Johnson; and
|
| 8 |
| WHEREAS, She accepted Christ at an early age and was |
| 9 |
| baptized by Reverend Flowers at Johnson Chapel C.M.E. in |
| 10 |
| Robinsonville, Mississippi; she sang with the Treadwell |
| 11 |
| Community Singers beginning in 1965 and continued until 1980; |
| 12 |
| and
|
| 13 |
| WHEREAS, She attended and graduated from Cregier |
| 14 |
| Elementary School and Crane High School; she was employed with |
| 15 |
| and retired from AT&T; and
|
| 16 |
| WHEREAS, Dorothy Harbour was known for her quick wit |
| 17 |
| speaking her mind about any subject; and
|
| 18 |
| WHEREAS, Dorothy Harbour is survived by her husband, |
| 19 |
| Virgil; her mother, Lucille Johnson; her sons, Gregory (Diane) |
| 20 |
| Gadberry and Michael (Audrey) Gadberry; her mother-in-law, |
| 21 |
| Anne M. Harbour; her stepson, Rodney Copeland; her |
| 22 |
| stepdaughter; Helen Ackins; her six sisters-in-law; her two |
| 23 |
| brothers-in-law; her seven grandchildren; her nine |
| 24 |
| great-grandchildren; and her many nieces, nephews, and |
| 25 |
| cousins; therefore, be it
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
| 27 |
| NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
| 28 |
| we mourn, along with her family and friends, the death of |
| 29 |
| Dorothy J. Harbour; and be it further
