65 ILCS 5/11-13-25 new










    Amends the Illinois Municipal Code. Provides that all final actions of the corporate authorities of a municipality under the Division of the Illinois Municipal Code concerning zoning shall be presumed valid and shall be subject to de novo judicial review. Effective immediately.

    AN ACT concerning local government.

    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

represented in the General Assembly:

    Section 5. The Illinois Municipal Code is amended  by adding 
5
Section 11-13-25 as follows:

    (65 ILCS 5/11-13-25  new)

    Sec. 11-13-25. Actions presumed valid; subject to de novo 
8
review. All final actions of the corporate authorities of a 
9
municipality under this Division shall be presumed valid and 
10
shall be subject to de novo judicial review.

    Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon 
12
becoming law.
