AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 100

    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 100 on page 1, line 
3
14, by changing "unless" to "unless"; and
 
4
on page 1, by replacing lines 15 and 16 with the following:
5
"the offender is a parent or guardian of a student attending 
6
the school and the parent or guardian is: (i) attending a 
7
conference at the school with school personnel to discuss the 
8
progress of his or her child academically or socially, (ii) 
9
participating in child review conferences in which evaluation 
10
and placement decisions may be made with respect to his or her 
11
child regarding special education services, or (iii) attending 
12
conferences to discuss other student issues concerning his or 
13
her child such as retention and promotion and notifies the 
14
principal of the school of his or her presence at the school

15
present in the building, on the grounds or in the conveyance or 
16
unless the"; and
 
17
on page 1, by inserting after line 30, the following:
18
    "Nothing in this Section shall be construed to infringe 
19
upon the constitutional right of a child sex offender to be 
20
present in a school building that is used as a polling place 
21
for the purpose of voting."; and
 
22
on page 2, by replacing lines 5 and 6 with the following:
