AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 101

    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 101 on page 1, line

15, after the period, by inserting the following: ""Assistive 
4
technology device" does not include a "hearing instrument" or 
5
"hearing aid" as defined in the Hearing Instrument Consumer 
6
Protection Act."; and

on page 2, by replacing lines 14 through 19 with the following: 
8
"assistive technology device at no charge through a donation."; 
9
and
 
10
on page 5, lines 8 and 11, by replacing "manufacturer" each 
11
time it appears with "person from whom the assistive technology 
12
device was purchased or leased"; and
 
13
on page 5, lines 14 and 15 and line 16, by replacing 
14
"manufacturer or lessor" each time it appears with "person from 
15
whom the assistive technology device was purchased or leased"; 
16
and
 
17
on page 5, line 18, by replacing "manufacturer" with "person 
18
from whom the assistive technology device was purchased"; and
 
19
on page 5, line 26, by replacing "manufacturer" with "person 
20
from whom the assistive technology device was leased"; and

with the following: "collateral costs, less a reasonable
