AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 139

    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 139 on page 7, by 
3
replacing lines 23 and 24 with the following:
4
"care procedures related to the pulmonary function test
for 
5
which appropriate competencies have been demonstrated."; and
 
6
on page 8, by replacing lines 19 through 22 with the following:
7
"has been trained to perform the basic respiratory care 
8
activities at the facility that employs or contracts with the 
9
individual and (ii) at a minimum, has annually received an 
10
evaluation of the unlicensed practitioner's"; and

 
11
on page 10, by deleting lines 31 through 35; and
 
12
on page 11, line 26, after "license", by inserting ", unless 
13
the license may be denied under Section 95 of this Act"; and
 
14
on page 15, by replacing lines 20 and 21 with the following:
 
15
    "Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect January 
16
1, 2006.".
