| AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 168
|

| AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 168 on page 1, by |
| 3 |
| replacing line 8 with the following: |
| 4 |
| "licensing."; and
|
| 5 |
| on page 1, by replacing lines 11 and 12 with the following: |
| 6 |
| "the corporate authorities of any municipality may license |
| 7 |
| residential rental property managers by ordinance in a"; and
|
| 8 |
| on page 1, by replacing line 23 with the following: |
| 9 |
| "(c) The licensing ordinance shall require the licensee to |
| 10 |
| pay a license fee in an amount not to exceed $50 per year and |
| 11 |
| shall require only the following information from the licensee:
|
| 12 |
| (1) the name, address, and phone number of the |
| 13 |
| licensee; |
| 14 |
| (2) the name, address, and phone number of any person |
| 15 |
| who will handle property maintenance complaints on behalf |
| 16 |
| of the licensee within the municipality and who is |
| 17 |
| authorized to accept service of municipal code violation |
| 18 |
| complaints on behalf of the licensee; |
| 19 |
| (3) a list of all properties managed by the license |
| 20 |
| within the municipality; and |
| 21 |
| (4) a certification by the licensee that it is aware of |
| 22 |
| the municipality's code requirements applicable to any |
| 23 |
| property managed by the licensee. |
