| AN ACT concerning transportation.
|

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|

| represented in the General Assembly:
|

| Section 5. The Child Passenger Protection Act is amended by |
| 5 |
| adding Section 4c as follows:
|

| (625 ILCS 25/4c new) |
| 7 |
| Sec. 4c. Children under the age of 11 years; passenger car |
| 8 |
| with a passenger-side air bag. Any person, when transporting a |
| 9 |
| child under the age of 11 years in a passenger car with a |
| 10 |
| passenger-side air bag, is responsible for securing that child |
| 11 |
| in a properly adjusted and fastened seat safety belt in the |
| 12 |
| back seat of the vehicle, if the vehicle has a back seat.
