| AN ACT concerning criminal law.
|

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|

| represented in the General Assembly:
|

| Section 5. The Criminal Code of 1961 is amended by adding |
| 5 |
| Section 32-5.2-5 as follows:
|

| (720 ILCS 5/32-5.2-5 new) |
| 7 |
| Sec. 32-5.2-5. False law enforcement badges. A person who |
| 8 |
| knowingly produces, sells, or distributes a law enforcement |
| 9 |
| badge without the express written consent of the law |
| 10 |
| enforcement agency represented on the badge, or in case of a |
| 11 |
| reorganized or defunct law enforcement agency, its successor |
| 12 |
| law enforcement agency, is guilty of a Class A misdemeanor. A |
| 13 |
| second or subsequent violation of this Section is a Class 3 |
| 14 |
| felony.
