    AN ACT concerning finance.

    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

represented in the General Assembly:

    Section 5. The Technology Development Act is amended  by 
5
changing Section 5 as follows:

    Sec. 5. Policy. The Illinois General Assembly finds that it 
8
is important
for the
the
State to encourage technology 
9
development in the State.  The purpose of this
Act is to

attract, assist, and retain quality technology businesses in 
11
Illinois.  The
creation of the
Technology Development Account 
12
will allow the State to bring together, and add
to,
Illinois'

13
rich science, technology, and business communities.
