| SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, During the 93rd General Assembly, the Sibling |
| 3 |
| Post-Adoption Continuing Contact Governor's Joint Task Force |
| 4 |
| was established pursuant to Senate Joint Resolution 58 to study |
| 5 |
| and make recommendations regarding sibling contact after |
| 6 |
| termination of parental rights; and
|
| 7 |
| WHEREAS, Further work is needed on these issues;
therefore, |
| 8 |
| be it
|
| 9 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL |
| 10 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES |
| 11 |
| CONCURRING HEREIN, that the Sibling Post-Adoption Continuing |
| 12 |
| Contact Governor's Joint Task Force is extended; and be it |
| 13 |
| further
|
| 14 |
| RESOLVED, That the Sibling Post-Adoption Continuing |
| 15 |
| Contact Governor's Joint Task Force shall submit a report, as
|
| 16 |
| established in its authorizing resolution, on or before
|
| 17 |
| December 30, 2005; and be it further
|
| 18 |
| RESOLVED, That with this reporting extension, the Sibling |
| 19 |
| Post-Adoption Continuing Contact Governor's Joint Task Force |
| 20 |
| shall continue to operate pursuant to its enabling
resolution.
