| SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION
|
| 2 |
| WHEREAS, During the 94th General Assembly, the Joint Task |
| 3 |
| Force on Rural Health was established to study issues relating |
| 4 |
| to health care for Illinois residents living in rural settings; |
| 5 |
| and
|
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, Issues relating to health care for residents of |
| 7 |
| rural areas also apply to residents of other medically |
| 8 |
| underserved areas of the State; and
|
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, The Joint Task Force was to report its findings |
| 10 |
| and recommendations to the General Assembly no later than |
| 11 |
| January 1, 2006; and
|
| 12 |
| WHEREAS, The Joint Task Force needs additional time to |
| 13 |
| complete its work; therefore, be it
|
| 14 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL |
| 15 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES |
| 16 |
| CONCURRING HEREIN, that the Joint Task Force on Rural Health |
| 17 |
| shall submit a report, as established in its authorizing |
| 18 |
| resolution, no later than December 31, 2006; and be it further
|
| 19 |
| RESOLVED, That the name of the Task Force on Rural Health |
| 20 |
| is changed to the Task Force on Rural Health and Medically |
| 21 |
| Underserved Areas; and be it further
|
| 22 |
| RESOLVED, That with this reporting extension, the Joint |
| 23 |
| Task Force on Rural Health and Medically Underserved Areas |
| 24 |
| shall continue to operate pursuant to its enabling resolution.
