| SENATE RESOLUTION
|
| 2 |
| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
| 3 |
| learned with sadness of the death of Paul Maurer of Clarendon |
| 4 |
| Hills on October 25, 2004; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, For more than 35 years, he was an agent for State |
| 6 |
| Farm Insurance in Clarendon Hills; he was also the assistant |
| 7 |
| fire chief at the Clarendon Hills Fire Department, and was in |
| 8 |
| his 34th year of volunteering with the department; his number |
| 9 |
| one passion in the community was the fire department; and
|
| 10 |
| WHEREAS, He personified the State Farm good neighbor image; |
| 11 |
| he was a true champion for State Farm, and was more than just |
| 12 |
| an agent - he became a friend to many; he was a Legion of Honor |
| 13 |
| Qualifier, a National Convention Qualifier, a member of the |
| 14 |
| Lions Club since 1973, and was involved with the Chamber of |
| 15 |
| Commerce; and
|
| 16 |
| WHEREAS, He is remembered as an "easy to deal with" |
| 17 |
| businessman, a beautiful person, and a wonderful human being; |
| 18 |
| he had a passion for volunteering and love for community |
| 19 |
| involvement; and
|
| 20 |
| WHEREAS, He is survived by his wife, two daughters, and a |
| 21 |
| grandson; therefore, be it
|
| 22 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL |
| 23 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
| 24 |
| Paul Maurer and we extend our sincerest condolences to his |
| 25 |
| family, friends, and community; and be it further
|
| 26 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 27 |
| presented to his family as an expression of our deepest |
| 28 |
| sympathy.
