SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois learned with sadness of the death of Donna A. Steder of Aurora on February 1, 2005; and

WHEREAS, She was born November 6, 1961 in Hillside, the daughter of Charles and Irene (Behounek) Kwiatkowski; she was a member of Holy Angels Church; and

WHEREAS, She celebrated her 20th wedding anniversary in May 2004 with her loving and devoted husband, Kevin; Donna was a loving wife, mother, daughter, and sister; and

WHEREAS, She attended Glenbard East High School in Lombard and Northern Illinois University in DeKalb; she was a great gymnast in high school, as well as a great overall athlete; she was a beautician; and

WHEREAS, Donna loved gardening and had a "green thumb"; she volunteered at Blackberry Farms in Aurora caring for their floral beds; her work at Blackberry Farms earned her a spot on the Channel Two News "Someone You Should Know" segment; and

WHEREAS, The passing of Donna Steder is felt by all who knew and loved her, especially her husband, Kevin; her children, Rochelle and Sonya Steder; her parents; her brother, Greg (Barb) Kwiatkowski; her mother-in-law, Velma Steder; and her many nieces and nephews; and

WHEREAS, Her death has left a deep void in the lives and hearts of her family and many friends to whom she brought happiness and affection; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that even as her death is mourned, we give thanks for the blessing of Donna Steder's life and extend our sincerest condolences to her family and friends, whose grief we share; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to her family as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
