| SENATE RESOLUTION
|
| 2 |
| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
| 3 |
| learned with sadness of the death of William Bock of Pekin on |
| 4 |
| February 3, 2005; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, He was born November 11, 1924 in Sweetwater to |
| 6 |
| Lewis Otto and Grace Fern Weaver Bock; he married Betty A. |
| 7 |
| Jones on September 27, 1947 in Pekin; and
|
| 8 |
| WHEREAS, He was a World War II Navy veteran; and
|
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, He worked for American Distilling Company in |
| 10 |
| Pekin, which later became Midwest Solvents, from 1948 until he |
| 11 |
| retired in 1990; and
|
| 12 |
| WHEREAS, He was a member of First United Methodist Church |
| 13 |
| in Pekin, where he was a former member of the board of |
| 14 |
| trustees; he was also a member of Pekin Moose Lodge 916 and a |
| 15 |
| former member of Pekin Elks; and
|
| 16 |
| WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his brother; and
|
| 17 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of William Bock is felt by all who |
| 18 |
| knew and loved him, especially his wife, Betty; his daughter, |
| 19 |
| Christie (Phil) Webb; his brother, George (Lorretta); and his |
| 20 |
| grandchildren; therefore, be it
|
| 21 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL |
| 22 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
| 23 |
| William Bock and extend our heartfelt sympathy to his family; |
| 24 |
| and be it further
|
| 25 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 26 |
| presented to his family as an expression of our deepest |
| 27 |
| sympathy.
