| SENATE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
| 3 |
| learned with regret of the death of Donald A. "Pete" Kermeen of |
| 4 |
| Kewanee on Sunday, March 6, 2005; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, He was born on August 10, 1928, in Kewanee to |
| 6 |
| Donald and Leona (Lindbloom) Kermeen; he married Dolores |
| 7 |
| Ostrowski on August 5, 1950, in Kewanee; and
|
| 8 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Kermeen was educated in Galva schools and was |
| 9 |
| a Navy veteran, serving from 1947 to 1951; he worked for many |
| 10 |
| years at Kewanee Boiler Corp. and later was employed at the |
| 11 |
| Farm King store in Kewanee; and
|
| 12 |
| WHEREAS, He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic |
| 13 |
| Church in Kewanee and Kewanee VFW Post 8078; he enjoyed |
| 14 |
| golfing, taking care of his lawn, and spending time with his |
| 15 |
| grandkids; and
|
| 16 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Donald A. "Pete" Kermeen has been |
| 17 |
| deeply felt by many, especially his wife, Dolores; his |
| 18 |
| daughter, Pat McGill; his granddaughter, Mrs. Bryan (Lori) |
| 19 |
| Simmons; his great-grandchildren, Nicole, Sheila, and Amanda |
| 20 |
| Nuding; his great-great-grandchildren, Hailey and Lainey; his |
| 21 |
| many nieces and nephews; his brother, Dave (Betty) Kermeen; and |
| 22 |
| his sister, Carol Hardy; he was preceded in death by two |
| 23 |
| sisters and three brothers; therefore, be it
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL |
| 25 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
| 26 |
| Donald A. "Pete" Kermeen, and we extend our sincere condolences |
| 27 |
| to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be |
| 28 |
