| SENATE RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
| 3 |
| learned with regret of the death of Elizabeth "Jane" Kenney of |
| 4 |
| St. Albans, West Virginia, on Monday, March 14, 2005; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, She was the youngest of three children, and she |
| 6 |
| born on Monday, December 16, 1925, in Fairmont, West Virginia, |
| 7 |
| to Walker Whiting and Mildred Green Whiting; and
|
| 8 |
| WHEREAS, She retired from the Mountaineer Gas Company with |
| 9 |
| 20 years of service; she was a graduate of Bluefield State |
| 10 |
| College and was a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, |
| 11 |
| Charleston-Institute Alumnae Chapter, and the Links, Inc., |
| 12 |
| Charleston-Institute Chapter; and
|
| 13 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Elizabeth "Jane" Kenney has been |
| 14 |
| deeply felt by many, especially her husband, Howard D. Kenney; |
| 15 |
| her sons, Paul Kenney and H. David Kenney; her daughter-in-law, |
| 16 |
| Tra-C Kenney; her brother, Walker Whiting Jr.; her |
| 17 |
| sisters-in-law, Arwilda Whiting and Angelina Whiting; and her |
| 18 |
| seven grandchildren; she was preceded in death by her parents |
| 19 |
| and brother, Paul Whiting; therefore, be it
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL |
| 21 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
| 22 |
| Elizabeth "Jane" Kenney, and we extend our deepest sympathy to |
| 23 |
| her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it |
| 24 |
| further

| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 26 |
| presented to her family as an expression of our sincere |
| 27 |
| condolences.
