| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
| 3 |
| learned with sadness of the death of Betty J. Goforth of |
| 4 |
| Tamaroa on April 8, 2005; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Mrs. Goforth was born July 15, 1927, in Mount |
| 6 |
| Vernon, the daughter of Clifford and Pearl Irene (Brown) |
| 7 |
| Zeigler; she married Charles Wayne Goforth on January 28, 1955, |
| 8 |
| in Hernando, Mississippi; and
|
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, She was a homemaker and a member of Immaculate |
| 10 |
| Conception Catholic Church in Tamaroa; and
|
| 11 |
| WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her parents; and
|
| 12 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Betty J. Goforth is felt by all who |
| 13 |
| knew and loved her, especially her husband, Charles; her |
| 14 |
| daughter, Judith (James) Samolinski; her son, Charles D. |
| 15 |
| (Sandra) Goforth; her brother, Ronald (Ann) Zeigler; her |
| 16 |
| grandsons, Chad Goforth, Matthew Goforth, and Robert |
| 17 |
| Samolinski; and her great-grandchildren, Mary Samolinski and |
| 18 |
| Julie Goforth; therefore, be it
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL |
| 20 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
| 21 |
| Betty J. Goforth and extend our sincere and heartfelt |
| 22 |
| condolences to her family, friends, and community; and be it |
| 23 |
| further
|
| 24 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 25 |
| presented to her family as an expression of our deepest |
| 26 |
| sympathy.
