| SENATE RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
| 3 |
| learned with deep sadness of the untimely death of Jonson Lee |
| 4 |
| Janes of Carterville on Thursday, May 5, 2005; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Janes was born on July 10, 1982, in |
| 6 |
| Carbondale, to Phil and Linda (Ditterline) Janes; and
|
| 7 |
| WHEREAS, He enjoyed playing video games and working on the |
| 8 |
| computer, but most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his |
| 9 |
| friends; and
|
| 10 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Jonson Lee Janes has been deeply |
| 11 |
| felt by many, especially his mother and step-father, Linda and |
| 12 |
| Jerry Thompson; his brothers and a sister-in-law, Jason and |
| 13 |
| Andrea Janes and Robert Stalker; his sister and brother-in-law, |
| 14 |
| Scarlett and Kevin Daugherty; his grandmother, Irene Janes; his |
| 15 |
| soul mate, Erica Smith; his nieces and nephews, Jaylen and |
| 16 |
| Jillian Janes and Mackenzie, McCaine, and Dolton Daugherty; and |
| 17 |
| his numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; he was preceded in |
| 18 |
| death by his father and aunt and uncle, Cleo and Jerry Harris; |

| therefore, be it

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL |

| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
| 22 |
| Jonson Lee Janes, who was taken from this life at much too |
| 23 |
| young an age, and we extend our sincere condolences to his |
| 24 |
| family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it |
| 25 |
| further

| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 27 |
| presented to his family as an expression of our deepest |
| 28 |
| sympathy.
