| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
| 3 |
| learned with regret of the death of Eulita Reeves of Dongola on |
| 4 |
| Friday, May 13, 2005; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, She was born on March 8, 1919, in Dongola to Guy |
| 6 |
| and Iva (Karraker) Penrod; she married Richard Thomas Reeves on |
| 7 |
| November 24, 1938; he preceded her in death on March 18, 2002; |
| 8 |
| and
|
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, Mrs. Reeves was a school teacher and a homemaker; |
| 10 |
| she was a member of First Baptist Church of Dongola, a 50-year |
| 11 |
| member of the Eastern Star, and a lifetime member of Beta Sigma |
| 12 |
| Phi; she was a longtime Sunday school teacher and pianist at |
| 13 |
| First Baptist Church of Dongola; and
|
| 14 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Eulita Reeves has been deeply felt |
| 15 |
| by many, especially her sons and daughters-in-law, Tim and |
| 16 |
| Carol Reeves and Jeff and Pat Reeves; her granddaughters, |
| 17 |
| Melissa Reeves, Cherie and husband Donovan Wright, and Jamie |
| 18 |
| and husband Terry Flores; her grandson, Tom Reeves; her |
| 19 |
| great-granddaughters, Alyssa Flores, Kyeli Flores, Ashlyn |
| 20 |
| Wright, and Hailey Wright; and her many nieces, nephews, and |
| 21 |
| other relatives; in addition to her husband, she was preceded |
| 22 |
| in death by her parents and her son, Richard Thomas Reeves Jr.; |
| 23 |
| therefore, be it

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL |
| 25 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
| 26 |
| Eulita Reeves, and we extend our sincerest condolences to her |
| 27 |
| family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it |
| 28 |
| further

| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
