| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
| 3 |
| learned with regret of the death of Frank D. Cluck of |
| 4 |
| Carterville on Saturday, May 14, 2005; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, He was born on March 20, 1929, in Detroit to |
| 6 |
| Emeral and Velma (Jacobs) Cluck; they moved to Southern |
| 7 |
| Illinois when Mr. Cluck was three years old; he was raised in |
| 8 |
| Southern Illinois and went to West Frankfort Community High |
| 9 |
| School; he graduated from Johnston City High School in 1946; he |
| 10 |
| married Dorothy Rosko on March 25, 1950, in Chicago; they |
| 11 |
| shared 55 years together; and
|
| 12 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Cluck was a Lutheran; he worked for Austenal |
| 13 |
| Labs and Verson Alsteel Press Company, both in Chicago; after |
| 14 |
| graduating from Thornton Community College in 1974, he returned |
| 15 |
| to Southern Illinois to attend Southern Illinois University at |
| 16 |
| Carbondale; and
|
| 17 |
| WHEREAS, He and his wife owned and operated Mama C's Pizza |
| 18 |
| for 18 years; he was a man of many talents; he built three |
| 19 |
| houses, two in Tinley Park, and his current home, which is |
| 20 |
| completely solar; he also taught shop and drafting at |
| 21 |
| Carterville High School; and
|
| 22 |
| WHEREAS, In his spare time, he loved to garden and also |
| 23 |
| became interested in making wine; he grew his own grapes; he |
| 24 |
| enjoyed playing pool with his many friends throughout the |
| 25 |
| years; and
|
| 26 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Frank D. Cluck has been deeply felt |
| 27 |
| by many, especially his wife, Dorothy Cluck; his son, Frank |
| 28 |
| Cluck Jr.; his daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Randy Patke; |
| 29 |
| his son and daughter-in-law, Bruce and Diane Cluck; his |
| 30 |
| daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia (Cindy) and Charlie Heynen; |
