| SENATE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
| 3 |
| learned with sadness of the death of Cheryl M. Jones of West |
| 4 |
| City on July 13, 2005; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, She was born July 10, 1949, in Benton, to Lester |
| 6 |
| and Eleanor (Hartsock) Broadway; and
|
| 7 |
| WHEREAS, She retired as a CNA from Franklin Skilled Care; |
| 8 |
| she loved bingo and fishing; she was a collector of angels and |
| 9 |
| Indian figurines, had a small flower garden, and enjoyed going |
| 10 |
| to stock car races; she was a wonderful mother and grandmother; |
| 11 |
| and
|
| 12 |
| WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her parents; her |
| 13 |
| brothers, Donald and Kenny Broadway and Carl Goodman; and her |
| 14 |
| sisters, Paula Broadway and Linda Groves; and
|
| 15 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Cheryl Jones is felt by all who |
| 16 |
| knew and loved her, especially her sons, Ralph Jones Jr., James |
| 17 |
| Isaacs, and Mark Isaacs; her daughters, Melissa Jones and Diana |
| 18 |
| Shipp and husband Larry; her seven grandchildren; her nieces |
| 19 |
| and nephews; her brothers, Dale Broadway and wife Nancy, Jim |
| 20 |
| Broadway and wife Freda, Bill Goodman and wife Sue, and Ronnie |
| 21 |
| Adams and wife Peggy; and her sisters, Beverly Irvin and |
| 22 |
| husband Wayne, Cathy Lamont and husband Joe, and Jan Hartsock |
| 23 |
| and husband Bill; therefore, be it

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL |

| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we express our most |
| 26 |
| sincere regret at the passing of Cheryl Jones and extend our |
| 27 |
| condolences to her family, friends, and community; and be it |
