| SENATE RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
| 3 |
| learned with sadness of the death of Edward H. "Brother Harry" |
| 4 |
| Shempf of Bartonville on July 21, 2005; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Shempf was born May 24, 1953, in Peoria to |
| 6 |
| Charles H. Sr. and Donna Walberg Shempf; he attended classes at |
| 7 |
| Illinois Central College for one year; and
|
| 8 |
| WHEREAS, He was a member of Laborers Local 165 for 32 |
| 9 |
| years; he worked at Hiram Walker & Sons and Illinois American |
| 10 |
| Water Co.; he worked in construction for the past 13 years and |
| 11 |
| was an avid ball player and bowler; and
|
| 12 |
| WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his parents; and
|
| 13 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Edward Shempf is felt by all who |
| 14 |
| knew and loved him, especially his daughter, Donna Aaron; his |
| 15 |
| grandson; his brother, Charlie (Lisa) Shempf Jr.; and his |
| 16 |
| sisters, Paulette (Gary) Hand and Charlette (Chuck) Hancock; |
| 17 |
| therefore, be it
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL |
| 19 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
| 20 |
| Edward Shempf and extend our sincerest condolences to his |
| 21 |
| family, friends, and community; and be it further
|
| 22 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 23 |
| presented to his family as an expression of our deepest |
| 24 |
| sympathy.
