| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
| 3 |
| learned with sadness of the death of Kathryn B. Hendrickson of |
| 4 |
| Marion on August 7, 2005; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Mrs. Hendrickson was born November 16, 1918, in |
| 6 |
| Marion, to Edgar and Cora (Robertson) Binkley; she married |
| 7 |
| Louie Hendrickson on June 20, 1940, in St. Charles, Missouri; |
| 8 |
| and
|
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, She was a longtime employee at Woolworth |
| 10 |
| Department Store and also worked at the Illinois State |
| 11 |
| Building; she joined the Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary on |
| 12 |
| March 26, 1950, as a charter member of the Marion Post 2457; |
| 13 |
| she was appointed the first Auxiliary Treasurer; she was the |
| 14 |
| third president of this Auxiliary and was president a second |
| 15 |
| time in 1958 to 1959; she served her Auxiliary very well over |
| 16 |
| 55 years, besides being Madam President twice; she was Madam |
| 17 |
| Conductor for 25 years and had been the Auxiliary Secretary |
| 18 |
| since 1989; she was also a member of the VFW Women's Auxiliary, |
| 19 |
| the Williamson County Merit Board, American Legion Auxiliary |
| 20 |
| Post 147, VFW Post 1301 Auxiliary, and Marion Memorial Hospital |
| 21 |
| Auxiliary; she was a Democrat Precinct Committeewoman and |
| 22 |
| Williamson County Chairwoman for the Democrat Party for many |
| 23 |
| years; and
|
| 24 |
| WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her parents and her |
| 25 |
| husband; and
|
| 26 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Kathryn Hendrickson is felt by all |
| 27 |
| who knew and loved her, especially her nephews and nieces, |
| 28 |
| Robert E. and Beverly Binkley and Terry Binkley and Donna |
| 29 |
| Holder; her great-nephews and nieces, Jason and Jamie Binkley, |
| 30 |
| Kenny and Kathy Kleckner, Joni Binkley, Ashley Binkley, and |
| 31 |
| Mark and Sara Taylor; and her great-great-nephews and nieces, |
