| SENATE RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
| 3 |
| learned with sadness of the death of Mildred Perschbacher Gavel |
| 4 |
| of Marion on August 4, 2005; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Mrs. Gavel was born May 9, 1920, in Johnston City, |
| 6 |
| to Lewis and Lula (Felts) Perschbacher; she married Adolph |
| 7 |
| "Jack" Gavel on July 12, 1947, in Chicago; and
|
| 8 |
| WHEREAS, She was employed at Campbell Soup Company in |
| 9 |
| Chicago for 32 years in the receiving department; she was a |
| 10 |
| member of First Baptist Church of Johnston City; and
|
| 11 |
| WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 |
| 12 |
| years, Jack; her parents; her brother, William Perschbacher and |
| 13 |
| his wife, Mary Ray Perschbacher; and her nephews, William Larry |
| 14 |
| Perschbacher and Toby Perschbacher; and
|
| 15 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Mildred Gavel is felt by all who |
| 16 |
| knew and loved her, especially her brothers, P.J. Perschbacher |
| 17 |
| and wife Pat, Charlie Perschbacher and wife Izzy, and Paul |
| 18 |
| Perschbacher and wife Lawanda; her sister, Marylu Adamson; her |
| 19 |
| brothers-in-law, Walter Gavel and Carl Gavel; her |
| 20 |
| sister-in-law, Adeline Bilske; and her nieces and nephews; |
| 21 |
| therefore, be it
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL |
| 23 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
| 24 |
| Mildred Gavel and extend our sincerest condolences to her |
| 25 |
| family, friends, and community; and be it further
|
| 26 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 27 |
| presented to her family as an expression of our deepest |
| 28 |
| sympathy.
