| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
| 3 |
| learned with sadness of the death of Anthony P. "Tony" Paynic |
| 4 |
| of Wood River on August 25, 2005; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Paynic was born June 29, 1927, in Granite |
| 6 |
| City, to Anthony and Francis (Kezele) Paynic; he married the |
| 7 |
| former Joyce Marie Bruce on Sept. 5, 1950, in Wood River; and
|
| 8 |
| WHEREAS, He served with the U.S. Navy Seabees during World |
| 9 |
| War II and retired from Colonial Dairy Co. and Prairie Farms |
| 10 |
| Dairy as a milkman; he had also worked as a carrier for |
| 11 |
| Simmons-Cooper Law Firm in East Alton; and
|
| 12 |
| WHEREAS, He was a life member of the Wood River Moose Lodge |
| 13 |
| 1349 for 46 years and administrator of the lodge for 29 years; |
| 14 |
| his other memberships included the Illinois Licensed Beverage |
| 15 |
| Association, East Alton American Legion Post 794, Wood River |
| 16 |
| VFW 2859, Alton Knights of Columbus, Teamsters Local 525 in |
| 17 |
| Alton, and the AMVETS Lodge in Peoria; he served on the Madison |
| 18 |
| County Board for eight years, was a Wood River precinct |
| 19 |
| committeeman, and was a member of the Madison County Transit |
| 20 |
| Board; and
|
| 21 |
| WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; |
| 22 |
| his brothers, Father Richard Paynic and Edward Paynic; and his |
| 23 |
| sister, Helen Eich; and
|
| 24 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Anthony Paynic is felt by all who |
| 25 |
| knew and loved him, especially his son, Michael Paynic; his |
| 26 |
| daughter, Debbie Paynic; his brothers and a sister-in-law, |
| 27 |
| Stephen and Jean Paynic and George Paynic; his sisters and a |
| 28 |
| brother-in-law, Rosemarie and Eldon Bowler and Julie Paynic; |
| 29 |
| his sisters-in-law, Corrine Renner and Kay Taylor; and his |
| 30 |
| numerous nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
