| SENATE RESOLUTION
|
| 2 |
| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
| 3 |
| learned with regret of the death of Millie Cox of Metropolis on |
| 4 |
| Sunday, October 2, 2005; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, She lived a full life obtaining the age of 74 |
| 6 |
| years-old, and retired from Lourdes hospital in Paducah, where |
| 7 |
| she served as a central supply supervisor; and
|
| 8 |
| WHEREAS, Mrs. Cox attended Seven Mile Baptist Church in |
| 9 |
| Metropolis, and was a valued member of her community; and
|
| 10 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Millie Cox has been deeply felt by |
| 11 |
| many, especially her daughter, Martha (Thomas) Bunting; her two |
| 12 |
| sons, Steve and Tim (Anisa) Cox; her six grandchildren; five |
| 13 |
| great-grandchildren; one sister, Hedy Kennedy of Brookport; |
| 14 |
| and several nieces and nephews; she was preceded in death by |
| 15 |
| her husband, Bill Cox; her parents Zed and Helen Rixie Swinnie; |
| 16 |
| and one sister; therefore, be it
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL |
| 18 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
| 19 |
| Millie Cox, and we extend our deepest sympathy to her family, |
| 20 |
| friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further
|
| 21 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 22 |
| presented to the family of Mrs. Cox as an expression of our |
| 23 |
| sincere condolences.
