| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
| 3 |
| learned with sadness of the death in the line of duty of |
| 4 |
| Officer Robin G. Vogel of Springfield on Monday, October 03, |
| 5 |
| 2005; and
|
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, Officer Vogel was born on September 6, 1968, in |
| 7 |
| Arlington Heights to Robert and Marilyn Pavlicek Cisowski; she |
| 8 |
| had been a Police Officer for the city of Decatur for the last |
| 9 |
| six years and was a member of the PB&PA #39 and the Springfield |
| 10 |
| Ski and Boat Club; she was a third-shift patrol officer, a |
| 11 |
| field training officer, and a cultural diversity officer; and
|
| 12 |
| WHEREAS, She recently received her Associates Degree from |
| 13 |
| Lincoln Land Community College and enjoyed outdoor activities, |
| 14 |
| but she especially liked to play softball; and
|
| 15 |
| WHEREAS, To her colleagues, she was known as energetic, |
| 16 |
| upbeat, and spirited; her enthusiastic attitude rubbed off on |
| 17 |
| all those with whom she came into contact; and
|
| 18 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Officer Robin Vogel has been deeply |
| 19 |
| felt by many, especially her son, Alex West; her parents, |
| 20 |
| Robert and Marilyn Pavlicek Cisowski; her sisters, Cheryl Davis |
| 21 |
| and Suzie Brown (husband, Bruce); her grandfather, Louis |
| 22 |
| Pavlicek; her nephews, Justin and Matthew Brown; her |
| 23 |
| ex-husband, Michael Vogel; her special friend, Adam Jahraus; |
| 24 |
| and her many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends; she was |
| 25 |
| preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Grace Pavlicek, |
| 26 |
| and her paternal grandparents, Nicholas and Jennie Cisowski; |
| 27 |
| therefore, be it

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL |

| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
| 30 |
| Officer Robin G. Vogel, and we extend our deepest sympathy to |
