| 1 | SENATE RESOLUTION

| 2 | WHEREAS, The holy month of Ramadan is observed by Muslims | ||||||
| 3 | throughout Illinois and the United States during the month of | ||||||
| 4 | October; and
| ||||||
| 5 | WHEREAS, Muslims celebrate this holy time through fasting, | ||||||
| 6 | prayer, and assisting those who need a helping hand; and
| ||||||
| 7 | WHEREAS, The citizens of Illinois should respect and honor | ||||||
| 8 | the faith and traditions of Muslims; therefore, be it | ||||||
| 9 | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL | ||||||
| 10 | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we recognize October as | ||||||
| 11 | the holy month of Ramadan.
