| SENATE RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to express |
| 3 |
| their sincere condolences to the family and friends of Wilfred |
| 4 |
| "Bill" Goreham, Jr., of Kankakee, Illinois, who passed away on |
| 5 |
| October 11, 2005; and
|
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Goreham was born on January 8, 1927, in |
| 7 |
| Armstrong, Illinois; his parents were Wilfred and Alta Bailey |
| 8 |
| Goreham, Sr.; he married Gladys Baronowski on June 6, 1959, in |
| 9 |
| St. Anne; and
|
| 10 |
| WHEREAS, He was a graduate of Sidell High School, where his |
| 11 |
| father served as the principal; and
|
| 12 |
| WHEREAS, He was printing publisher and owner of the St. |
| 13 |
| Anne Record for 53 years; in the 1940s he began working in the |
| 14 |
| newspaper industry under Charlie Lane at the Sidell Journal; |
| 15 |
| and
|
| 16 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Goreham enjoyed fishing, his family, and his |
| 17 |
| career; and
|
| 18 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Wilfred "Bill" Goreham, Jr., has |
| 19 |
| been deeply felt by many, especially his wife; his two |
| 20 |
| daughters, Julie (husband, Curt) Benson, and Janine (husband, |
| 21 |
| Mark) Reich; his brother, Donald (wife, Jackie) Goreham; his |
| 22 |
| five grandchildren; his great-grandchild; and his many nieces |
| 23 |
| and nephews; therefore, be it
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL |
| 25 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we again send our |
| 26 |
| sympathy to the family and friends of Wilfred "Bill" Goreham, |
| 27 |
| Jr.; and be it further
