| SENATE RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, The Senate is saddened to learn of the passing of |
| 3 |
| Donald Lee "John" Mowery, Sr., of Anna on February 4, 2006; and
|
| 4 |
| WHEREAS, He was born March 14, 1935, in Mill Creek, the son |
| 5 |
| of Lee and Edith (Ward) Mowery; he worked for E.T. Simonds |
| 6 |
| Construction Company for more than 30 years and was a member of |
| 7 |
| Teamsters Local 317 in West Frankfort; and
|
| 8 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Mowery was a veteran of the United States |
| 9 |
| Army; he was a member of United Missionary Baptist Church in |
| 10 |
| Lick Creek, the Anna Moose Lodge 1346, Marion Elks Lodge, |
| 11 |
| Carroll P. Foster VFW Post 3455 in Anna, and the Union County |
| 12 |
| Farm Bureau; and
|
| 13 |
| WHEREAS, His death will be deeply felt by all who know him, |
| 14 |
| especially by his four children, Rita Laminack and husband, |
| 15 |
| Allen, Rose Haynes and husband, Ray, Donald Mowery Jr., and |
| 16 |
| Rhonda Davis and husband, John; his eight grandchildren; his |
| 17 |
| nine great-grandchildren; his five sisters, Bernette Starks, |
| 18 |
| Lula Mae Manus and husband, Bob, Joyce Middleton, Norma Stamp |
| 19 |
| and husband, Donald, and Delores Browning and husband, Harlan; |
| 20 |
| his special friends, Marcella Johnson and Vera Phelps; and his |
| 21 |
| numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; therefore, be it
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL |
| 23 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the death of |
| 24 |
| Donald Lee "John" Mowery, Sr.; and be it further
|
| 25 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 26 |
| presented to the family of Donald Lee "John" Mowery, Sr., as an |
| 27 |
| expression of our sympathy.
