| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |

| learned with regret of the death of Peter A. Baker of Winter |
| 4 |
| Haven, Florida, formerly of Mundelein, on Friday, March 24, |
| 5 |
| 2006; and
|
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, He was born on August 23, 1928, in Lake Forest; |
| 7 |
| and
|
| 8 |
| WHEREAS, Mr. Baker was past president and Chairman of Peter |
| 9 |
| Baker and Son Co.; and
|
| 10 |
| WHEREAS, He was a former U.S. Navy Seabee and former member |
| 11 |
| of Knights of Columbus and VFW; and
|
| 12 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Peter A. Baker has been deeply felt |
| 13 |
| by many; he was the husband of Joyce M. (nee Lindholm) and the |
| 14 |
| late Dorothy Mae (nee Cummings); the loving father of Arthur II |
| 15 |
| (Jo Anne), Terry Baker, Robert Baker, and Barbara (Michael) |
| 16 |
| Duffy; the cherished grandfather of Peter Baker, John Strazer, |
| 17 |
| Julie, Dustin, and Gwen Rodgers, Shannon (Ryan) Maguire, and |
| 18 |
| Moira and Aileen Duffy; the proud great-grandfather of Kyle; |
| 19 |
| the dear brother of Arthur M. Jr., Elaine Cascarano, and the |
| 20 |
| late Russell; and the devoted son of the late Erna and Arthur |
| 21 |
| Sr.; therefore, be it

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL |

| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
| 24 |
| Peter A. Baker, and we extend our sincere condolences to his |
| 25 |
| family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it |
| 26 |
| further

| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 28 |
| presented to his family as an expression of our deepest |

| sympathy.
