| SENATE RESOLUTION
|

| WHEREAS, The members of the Senate of the State of Illinois |
| 3 |
| learned with regret of the death of Rita J. Gaples of Mettawa |
| 4 |
| on Tuesday, June 20, 2006; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Mrs. Gaples was born on November 1, 1940, to |
| 6 |
| Rolland and Mildred Klingbeil; and
|
| 7 |
| WHEREAS, She enjoyed artwork and flowers and was a member |
| 8 |
| of the Art Institute of Chicago, the Field Museum, and the |
| 9 |
| Chicago Botanic Garden, and she was a registered nurse; and
|
| 10 |
| WHEREAS, The passing of Rita J. Gaples has been deeply felt |
| 11 |
| by many, especially her husband, Harry Gaples; her children, |
| 12 |
| Tony Gaples and Rebecca Gaples (Simon Harrison); her grandson; |
| 13 |
| her brother; and her sisters; she was preceded in death by her |
| 14 |
| parents; therefore, be it
|

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL |
| 16 |
| ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
| 17 |
| Rita J. Gaples, and we extend our sincere condolences to her |
| 18 |
| family, her friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it |
| 19 |
| further
|
| 20 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
| 21 |
| presented to her family as an expression of our deepest |
| 22 |
| sympathy.
