| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
| 3 |
| learn of the death of Jerry Morgan of Alton, Illinois, who |
| 4 |
| passed away on December 4, 2006; and
|
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Jerry Morgan was born on September 20, 1947, in |
| 6 |
| Alton, Illinois; his parents were William and Mattie (Smith) |
| 7 |
| Morgan; and
|
| 8 |
| WHEREAS, Jerry Morgan attended Alton Senior High School and |
| 9 |
| was a graduate of Southern Illinois University in Carbondale; |
| 10 |
| and
|
| 11 |
| WHEREAS, He worked at the Olin Corporation as foreman in |
| 12 |
| the Brass Mill for 27 years, before retiring in 2003; he |
| 13 |
| enjoyed working on the computer and taking photographs; Mr. |
| 14 |
| Morgan was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the United |
| 15 |
| States Army; and
|
| 16 |
| WHEREAS, Jerry Morgan is survived by his loving daughter, |
| 17 |
| Gale Morgan; his stepchildren, Angelia and Antonous Jones; his |
| 18 |
| grandchildren, Gabriel Ryan Lee, BreAunnika Marble, and Jaylon |
| 19 |
| Nunn; his sisters, Katherine Ware, Gwendolyn (Herman) |
| 20 |
| Gilchrest, Bertha (David) Brown, Vickie Morgan, and Mary (Mark) |
| 21 |
| Wilson; his brothers, William (Connie) Morgan, Jr., Joseph |
| 22 |
| (Kay) Morgan, Julius (Lisa) Morgan, and Vincent (Veronica) |
| 23 |
| Morgan; his nieces and nephews; his special nephews, Jvan |
| 24 |
| Morgan and Walter Morgan; and his special niece, Julie Morgan; |
| 25 |
| he was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Judy |
| 26 |
| Morgan; therefore, be it

| RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FOURTH GENERAL |
