20 ILCS 605/605-975 new

Deletes everything after the enacting clause. Amends the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois. Provides that the Department shall establish and administer a program to make grants to women health care providers for the purpose of opening health care clinics in economically depressed areas within the State.

Fiscal Note, House Amendment No. 1 (Dept. of Commerce & Economic Opportunity)
The fiscal impact of this legislation is not able to be calculated at this time. Given that the program is subject to appropriation and the number of grant awards is unknown, the impact on the Department could vary greatly depending on the size of the grant program. An accurate fiscal impact cannot be determined without those factors being known.

This legislation does not create a State mandate under the State Mandates Act.

Home Rule Note, House Amendment No. 1 (Dept. of Commerce & Economic Opportunity)
