Synopsis As Introduced
Amends the Department of State Police Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois. In a Section concerning the creation and operation of Internet Gang Crime Units, allocates moneys to the Lake County Metropolitan Enforcement Group (instead of to the Village of Round Lake Heights Police Department). Provides that the Internet Gang Crime Unit Pilot Program terminates on July 1, 2011 (instead of 2010). Effective immediately.

House Amendment No. 1
Provides that there is no rulemaking authority under the amendatory Act, but that the Governor may suggest rules by filing them with the General Assembly and requesting that the General Assembly authorize such rulemaking by law, enact the suggested rules into law, or take other appropriate action in the General Assembly's discretion.
