| AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 1, by replacing line |

| 26 on page 7 through line 2 on page 8 with the following:

| "(f-5) Any business whose aggregate bids and proposals on |

| State contracts total more than $25,000, or whose aggregate |
| 6 |
| bids and proposals on State contracts combined with the |
| 7 |
| business' aggregate annual total value of State contracts |
| 8 |
| exceed $25,000, is prohibited from making any contributions to |
| 9 |
| the officeholder responsible for awarding the contract on which |
| 10 |
| the business has submitted a bid or proposal, or to any |
| 11 |
| political committee established to promote the candidacy of |
| 12 |
| that officeholder, during the period beginning on the date the |
| 13 |
| invitation for bids or request for proposals is issued and |
| 14 |
| ending on the day after the date the contract is awarded. This |
| 15 |
| prohibition shall also apply to contributions from any |
| 16 |
| affiliated persons or entities. |
