| AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 17 as follows:

| on page 1, lines 15 and 16, by replacing "Further assessment |

| and referral" with "Referral"; and

| on page 1, line 18, by deleting "for referral"; and
|
| 6 |
| on page 1, line 20, after "time.", by inserting "This Section |
| 7 |
| does not require that the Department maintain an individual in |
| 8 |
| a Department facility who is otherwise eligible for discharge |
| 9 |
| as provided in the Mental Health and Developmental Disabilities |
| 10 |
| Code.".
