| AN ACT concerning public aid.

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |

| represented in the General Assembly:
|

| Section 5. The Illinois Public Aid Code is amended by |
| 5 |
| adding Section 5-26 as
follows:
|

| (305 ILCS 5/5-26 new)
|
| 7 |
| Sec. 5-26. Personal needs allowance. The minimum monthly |
| 8 |
| personal needs
allowance, as authorized under Section 1902(q) |
| 9 |
| of Title XIX of the Social
Security Act, for a person who is an |
| 10 |
| inpatient in an institution or facility
for
which payments are |
| 11 |
| made under this Article throughout a month, and who is
|
| 12 |
| determined to be eligible for medical assistance under this |
| 13 |
| Article, is $50.
