30 ILCS 500/20-105









    Amends the Illinois Procurement Code.  Exempts public institutions of higher education from the requirement that a State agency include on materials it publishes certain information concerning State authorization, publication date, number of copies printed, and printing order number.  Effective immediately.

    AN ACT concerning finance.

    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,

represented in the General Assembly:

    Section 5. The Illinois Procurement Code is amended  by 
5
changing Section 20-105 as follows:

    (30 ILCS 500/20-105)

    Sec. 20-105. State agency printing. All books, pamphlets, 
8
documents, and
reports published through or by
the State of 
9
Illinois or any State agency, board, or commission, except a 
10
public institution of higher education,
shall have printed 
11
thereon
"Printed by authority of the State of Illinois", the 
12
date of each
publication, the number of copies
printed, and the 
13
printing order number.  Each using agency shall be
responsible 
14
for ascertaining
the compliance of printing materials procured 
15
by or for it with
this Section.  No printing or
reproduction 
16
contract shall be let and no printing or
reproduction shall be 
17
accomplished when
that wording does not appear on the material 
18
to be printed or
reproduced.  No publication
may have written, 
19
stamped, or printed on it, or attached to it,
"Compliments of 
20
........
(naming a person)" or any words of similar import.
