| AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 892
|

| AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 892 on page 2, by |
| 3 |
| replacing lines 19 through 25 with the following: |
| 4 |
| "zones established by the Department. The standards must |
| 5 |
| include a requirement that areas of a nursing home used by |
| 6 |
| residents of the nursing home be air conditioned and heated by |
| 7 |
| means of operable air-conditioning and heating equipment. The |
| 8 |
| areas subject to this air-conditioning and heating requirement |
| 9 |
| include, without limitation, bedrooms or common areas such as |
| 10 |
| sitting rooms, activity rooms, living rooms, community rooms, |
| 11 |
| and dining rooms. No later than July 1, 2008, the Department |
| 12 |
| shall submit a report to the General Assembly concerning the |
| 13 |
| impact of the changes made by this amendatory Act of the 95th |
| 14 |
| General Assembly;"; and
|
| 15 |
| on page 3, by deleting lines 8 through 14.
