| AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 957 by replacing |

| everything after the enacting clause with the following:

| "Section 5. The Funeral Directors and Embalmers Licensing |

| Code is amended by adding Section 1-25 as follows:

| (225 ILCS 41/1-25 new)
|
| 7 |
| Sec. 1-25. Temporary authorization of applicants from |
| 8 |
| other jurisdictions. A person holding an active, unencumbered |
| 9 |
| license in good standing in another jurisdiction who applies |
| 10 |
| for a license pursuant to Section 5-5 or 10-5 of this Act due |
| 11 |
| to a natural disaster or catastrophic event in another |
| 12 |
| jurisdiction, may be temporarily authorized by the Secretary to |
| 13 |
| practice funeral directing or funeral directing and embalming |
| 14 |
| under the supervision of a licensee under this Act, pending the |
| 15 |
| issuance of the license. This temporary authorization shall |
| 16 |
| expire after 30 days or upon notification that the Department |
