AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 991

    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 991 on page 4, line

1, after "coroner",  by inserting "or medical examiner"; and

on page 4, line 2, by replacing "blood, tissue, and saliva 
5
specimens" with "blood and buccal specimens (tissue may be 
6
submitted if no uncontaminated blood or buccal specimen can be 
7
obtained)"; and
 
8
on page 4, by replacing lines 4 and 5 with "Within 45 days 
9
after the collection of the specimens, the coroner or medical 
10
examiner shall deliver those specimens, dried, to the Illinois 
11
Department of State"; and

on page 4, line 11, after "Corrections.", by inserting the 
13
following:

"The requirements of this paragraph are in addition to any
