| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|

| represented in the General Assembly:

| Section 5. The Department of Public Health Powers and |

| amended by changing Section 2310-371.5 as follows:

371. Heartsaver AED Fund; grants. Subject |

| to appropriation, the Department of Public Health has the power |

| to make matching grants from the Heartsaver AED Fund, a special |
| 11 |
| fund created in the State treasury, to any school in the State
|
| 12 |
| public school, public park district, municipal recreation |
| 13 |
| department,
public college, or public university to assist in |
| 14 |
| the purchase of

| Applicants for AED grants must demonstrate that they have funds |

| grant moneys are sought. Any school, public park district, |

| municipal recreation department, college, or university |
| 21 |
| applying for the grant shall not receive more than one grant |
| 22 |
| from the Heartsaver AED Fund each fiscal year.
