| AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 1723, on page 11, |

| immediately below line 21, by inserting the following:

| "The changes to paragraph (1) of this item (18) made by |
| 5 |
| this amendatory Act of the 95th General Assembly apply |
| 6 |
| without regard to whether the member was in service on or |
| 7 |
| after its effective date, but do not entitle any person to |
| 8 |
| recalculation of any pension or other benefit already |
| 9 |
| granted.".
