| AN ACT concerning law enforcement.
|

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
3 |
| represented in the General Assembly:
|

| Section 5. The Illinois Police Training Act is amended by |
5 |
| changing Section 10 as follows:
|

| (50 ILCS 705/10) (from Ch. 85, par. 510)
|

| Sec. 10. The Board may make, amend and rescind such rules |
8 |
| and regulations
as may be necessary to carry out the provisions |
9 |
| of this Act, including those relating to the annual |
10 |
| certification of retired law enforcement officers qualified |
11 |
| under federal law to carry a concealed weapon , except that the |
12 |
| fee for annual certification of such retired officers shall not |
13 |
| exceed $5 . A copy of all
rules and regulations and amendments |
14 |
| or rescissions thereof shall be filed
with the Secretary of |
15 |
| State within a reasonable time after their adoption.
The |
16 |
| schools certified by the Board and participating in the |
17 |
| training
program may dismiss from the school any trainee prior |
18 |
| to his completion of
the course, if in the opinion of the |
19 |
| person in charge of the training
school, the trainee is unable |
20 |
| or unwilling to satisfactorily complete the
prescribed course |

| of training.
