| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 |
| represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 |
| Section 5. The Illinois Act on the Aging is amended by |
| 5 |
| changing Section 3.05 as follows:
|

| (20 ILCS 105/3.05) (from Ch. 23, par. 6103.05)

| Sec. 3.05. "Aged" or "Senior citizen" means a person of 55 |
| 8 |
| years of age or older,
or a person nearing the
the age of 55 for |

| whom opportunities for employment and
participation in |
| 10 |
| community life are unavailable or severely limited and
who, as |
| 11 |
| a result thereof, has difficulty in maintaining |
| 12 |
| self-sufficiency
and contributing to the life of the community. |
