| AN ACT concerning local government.
|
| 2 |
| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, |
| 3 |
| represented in the General Assembly:
|
| 4 |
| Section 5. The Local Mass Transit District Act is amended |
| 5 |
| by changing Section 7 as follows:
|
| 6 |
| (70 ILCS 3610/7) (from Ch. 111 2/3, par. 357)

| Sec. 7. It shall be the
the duty of the Board of Trustees |
| 8 |
| of every District to
cause an annual audit of its accounts to |
| 9 |
| be made by a certified public
accountant of Illinois. The audit |
| 10 |
| shall be completed, filed with the
District within 4 months |
| 11 |
| after the close of each fiscal year of the
District. Certified |
| 12 |
| copies of annual audits shall likewise be filed with
the |
| 13 |
| Secretary of State and with the governing body or bodies which |
| 14 |
| created
the District. |
