Amends the Medical Practice Act of 1987. Allows a person licensed under the Act who issues a prescription for a drug or medicine intended for the treatment of attention deficit disorder or attention deficit hyperactivity disorder to deem the prescription refillable.

| AN ACT concerning regulation.
|

| Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
|
| 3 |
| represented in the General Assembly:
|

| Section 5. The Medical Practice Act of 1987 is amended by |
| 5 |
| adding Section 33.5 as follows: |
| 6 |
| (225 ILCS 60/33.5 new) |
| 7 |
| Sec. 33.5. Prescriptions issued for the treatment of |
| 8 |
| attention deficit disorder or attention deficit hyperactivity |
| 9 |
| disorder. Any person licensed under this Act who issues a |
| 10 |
| prescription for a drug or medicine intended for the treatment |
| 11 |
| of attention deficit disorder or attention deficit |
| 12 |
| hyperactivity disorder may deem the prescription refillable on |
| 13 |
| the prescription form or in any manner set forth by the |
| 14 |
| Department.
